Pac-12: Colorado Buffaloes

During this offseason, the Colorado Buffaloes were, for lack of a better term, screwed. This college football team was left out to dry by a head coach who promised that he’d return in 2020. Within the week, Mel Tucker left for a much higher salary at Michigan State University. This left the Buffaloes with a few sizable holes to fill on their coaching staff.

This team will return over half of their starters on defense, but lose their top contributor in Laviska Shenault. Their schedule won’t give them any help as they’ll face Texas A&M, Oregon, USC, Stanford and Washington.

All things considered, the hiring of Karl Dorrell was a pretty good one with the current circumstances. Unfortunately, that isn’t enough of a win for this squad to lift themselves out of last-place status. At best, this team is looking at a decent defense and a below-average offense. Things are going to be worse in college football before they’re better in Boulder.

My prediction: 1-6
