SEC Football Power Rankings, Week 7: LSU in free fall, Texas A&M on rise

The Bulldogs are down one spot after falling to Kentucky in such a way that was simply disappointing to watch, a game in which they threw the ball 70 times and still could only muster two points. Of course, half of that was the six interceptions thrown by both Mississippi State quarterbacks, but it is still extremely sad to see. Now, they face Texas A&M which is fresh off an upset of Florida.
The Wildcats move up two spots after their win against Mississippi State on Saturday in which their defense grabbed six interceptions of Bulldog quarterbacks. Now, they prepare to face off against the likes of Tennessee in a game that could define the season for the Wildcats. I’m not so sure about the Volunteers, so Kentucky surely has a chance in this one.
The Razorbacks fall one spot after falling to Auburn in the most controversial game of the weekend. I’m not sure what to make of the Razorbacks at this point as they knocked off Mississippi State and then nearly knocked off Auburn. Now, they face off against offensive powerhouse Ole Miss and that one should be interesting and should tell us more about the this team.
Despite winning against Arkansas, the Tigers move down one spot in this week’s power rankings. Bo Nix isn’t doing the greatest, but he is doing enough to win games. He is struggling with relevant teams, as seen with Georgia, but was at least able to put enough points on the board to win the other two weeks. Now, they face off against South Carolina in a game that should be an easy win.
