2. Tanner Morgan passes for 400 yards

To say Maryland’s defense got gashed against Northwestern would be an understatement. The Terrapins hoped to get their second season under Mike Locksley off on the right foot but allowed 43 points to the Wildcats and over 500 yards and, well, Northwestern isn’t exactly known as an offensive powerhouse — at least not in recent years.

The Wildcats rushed for over 320 yards and had 212 passing yards which doesn’t really say much about the strength of Maryland’s secondary, but I think it’ll struggle against Tanner Morgan.

Peyton Ramsey completed 23-of-30 passes for those 212 yards and a touchdown with no interceptions so clearly he had success and I think Morgan will have much more, doubling those numbers and passing for 400 yards.

Rashod Bateman will be almost unguardable, as evidenced by his three touchdowns, and he’ll finish with 10 receptions for 150 yards. That will be the least of Maryland’s worries, however, as Morgan will find just about all of his targets with ease.

Expect a huge bounce-back game from Morgan after an iffy opener.
