4. More than 90 points will be scored in Oklahoma at Texas Tech

The annual matchup between the Oklahoma Sooners and the Texas Tech Red Raiders is often a shootout between two teams that know how to reach the end zone with regularity. This game is bound to continue the tradition of high-scoring play from both teams. In three of the past five matchups, both the Sooners and the Red Raiders have totaled at least 90 points.

The 2016 matchup will go down as one of the most legendary games of all time. This was a game that featured Sooners running back Joe Mixon and wide receiver Dede Westbrook as well as the quarterback battle between Baker Mayfield and Patrick Maholmes II. That game featured 1,708 yards of total offense with 1,279 of them coming from the passing game.

The Sooners won that game 66-59.

This season, both the Sooners and the Red Raiders have strong offenses. Oklahoma ranks 14th in the nation (second in the Big 12) in points per game (39.8) and seventh (first in the Big 12) in passing yards per game (339.6). The Red Raiders are ranked 44th (fourth in the Big 12) in points per game (32.2) and 22nd (fourth in the Big 12) in passing yards per game (276.2).

Both teams were in big shootouts earlier this season against the Texas Longhorns. The Red Raiders lost their matchup to the Longhorns 63-56 in overtime. The Sooners won their matchup against Texas 53-45 in four overtimes.
