Coastal Carolina cruised to a 51-0 blowout on the road at Georgia State in Week 9, remaining the last undefeated team standing in the Sun Belt. The Chanticleers improved to 6-0 in the standings and solidified their position among the top 20 teams in the AP Top 25 this week. Look for them to move up another slot or two in the poll this week after such a dominant performance.

Grayson McCall continued to build his legend, as the quarterback went 18-of-24 for 254 yards and four passing touchdowns and added a rushing score. Jaivon Heiligh hauled in two touchdown passes as McCall’s favorite target. Coastal Carolina’s defense did its part by suffocating the Panthers offense, holding their hosts to just 106 total yards of offense in the shutout victory.

Now the Chanticleers head back home in Week 10 for another conference showdown, this time against South Alabama. Looming on the horizon is the November 21 duel with Appalachian State in Conway, a game which will likely decide which team represents the East in the Sun Belt championship game.
