Pick Analysis. player. 9. 840. Scouting Report. 2-1. in progress vs. Missouri. Florida Gators

Florida came back from their time off after a coronavirus-impacted postponement against LSU and an idle weekend to continue dealing with the outbreak through the team to host Missouri in Week 9. The Gators earned their third win of the season to keep themselves in the discussion among the top 10 teams in the AP Top 25 and keep them alive in the race for the SEC East title.

Kyle Trask came into the Missouri game averaging 332 passing yards per game and nearly five touchdowns per game, placing him among the top quarterbacks in the country. Kyle Pitts has placed himself at the head of the Mackey Award discussion as the top tight end in the nation. Despite defensive drop-off from 2019, the Gators are still keeping pace in both regional and national races thanks to the offense.

Florida’s next challenge is their biggest of the season. The Gators head to Jacksonville in Week 10 to take on rival Georgia in the World’s Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party. If Florida wins, they would take over pole position in the race for the SEC East title and the chance for a conference title and a spot in the College Football Playoff.
