College Football Rankings 2020: Projected AP Top 25 for Week 10
By Zach Bigalke
Georgia put in another yeomanlike performance against Kentucky on the road in Week 9, improving to 4-1 with a 14-3 victory against the Wildcats. The Bulldogs exerted their will in Lexington, holding their hosts to just 229 total yards of offense. Georgia will push up into one of the top four spots this week as a result of another strong SEC performance as voters give them the benefit of the doubt.
Stetson Bennett had a rough day for the Bulldogs at quarterback, throwing two interceptions on a day where he went 9-of-13 for 131 yards and had no touchdown passes. Bennett did run in one score, though, and Zamir White picked up the slack on the ground with 136 rushing yards and a touchdown. James Cook and Kendall Milton spelled White in the backfield with 70 combined yards.
Now the Bulldogs can turn their attention to the World’s Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party against Florida in Jacksonville, a game that will be played in strange circumstances this season. That rivalry game will almost certainly determine which team represents the East in the SEC championship game this year.
