11. Georgia Tech (2-5, 2-4)

The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets loss to the Notre Dame Fighting Irish last Saturday 31-13. Notre Dame dominated the Yellow Jackets on both sides of the ball. Georgia Tech flashed at times, but it was obvious this is a young team that made its fair share of mistakes. It has done the same thing on their losing streak, and that’s flash. You see the potential.

10. Virginia (2-4, 2-4)

The Virginia Cavaliers upset win against the North Carolina Tar Heels ended a four-game losing streak for the Wahoos. To ice the game, head coach Bronco Mendenhall called a fake punt. When you have a chance to beat a ranked team, you do what you have to do. The Cavaliers have a favorable schedule the rest of the way. If they can stay healthy, the Cavaliers have a chance to win a few more games.

9. Pitt (3-4, 2-4)

The Pitt Panthers were off this week. That gives starting quarterback Kenny Pickett an opportunity to continue getting healthy. Pickett is dealing with an ankle injury and is questionable for their game against Florida State. The senior from New Jersey gives the Panthers the best chance to win with so few playmakers on their roster.

8. North Carolina State (4-2, 4-2)

The Wolfpack are a team with the potential to find themselves in free fall. Despite their 4-2 record, the Wolfpack has lots of defense, issues allowing over 30 points per game. Without Devin Leary and Ricky Pearson Jr., it will be difficult for the Wolfpack to outscore teams. That is the only way they can win with the defense so bad.
