2. Cincinnati (vs. Houston)

Cincinnati was fighting questions about their offense coming into the season. Sure, their defense is elite, but could the Bearcats score? After putting up a combined 91 yards on SMU and Memphis the only question around Cincinnati is if the College Football Playoff is a real possibility.

They’ll need to keep their focus, and avoid a letdown game, if Cincinnati wants to force a CFP discussion for the Group of Five.

It would be easy to fall asleep against Houston. SMU was a ranked opponent to get up for, while Memphis is who they lost to in back-to-back games to lose the AAC last season. Those games were incredibly important to the Bearcats and Houston is just the next team up.

The Cougars are explosive, though. They can score quickly and put unique pressure on opposing defenses. By forcing Cincinnati to cover the entire field, with speed, they could catch the Bearcats napping after two emotional wins.
