leading 34-0 at South Carolina in 3rd quarter. Texas A&M Aggies. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. 4-1. 7. player. 873

Texas A&M kept themselves in the hunt for a New Year’s Six bid out of the SEC West (and perhaps even more?) as they took a 21-0 lead into the locker room at halftime against South Carolina. Playing on the road in Columbia, the Aggies put themselves in position to possibly move into the top five of the AP Top 25 this week as long as they can hold on in the second half for victory.

Kellen Mond was superb through the first two quarters, throwing for 95 yards on 10-of-19 passing with three touchdowns. Isaiah Spiller added 131 first-half rushing yards for the Aggies as they asserted themselves right away in the interdivisional showdown. South Carolina’s offense managed only 68 yards through the opening 30 minutes, lost an interception, and missed a field goal along the way.

Jimbo Fisher’s crew heads into Week 11 in prime position to keep themselves in the national conversation. Texas A&M remains on the road for another interdivisional test against Tennessee in Knoxville. They close out November with games against Ole Miss and LSU at home before the regular-season finale on December 5 at Auburn. If the Aggies win out, they could potentially play their way into a College Football Playoff berth.
