SEC Football Power Rankings, Week 11: Florida surging at perfect time
By Shelbie Warr
The Razorbacks stay at No. 6 after beating Tennessee, a team that I expected them to beat with how their season is going now. They were able to stop Tennessee from scoring at all in the second half, an issue that Tennessee has had throughout the season. They now face off against Florida. They will be without head coach Sam Pittman due to a COVID-19 case, but things could be worse — at least they are playing a game.
Auburn doesn’t move after having an off week and they will now have another one thanks to a postponed game with Mississippi State thanks to COVID-19 cases in Starkville. They are just outside the top four in the conference and are looking to grow from their blowout win against LSU a couple weeks ago. Bo Nix is growing and things could get interesting if Auburn keeps getting better.
Georgia falls one spot after falling to Florida, 44-28. The Bulldogs looked horrible defensively and were unable to keep up with Florida offensively, which makes many of us question whether this team will be able to keep up with anyone strong in a bowl game at this point. They have a pretty favorable schedule in terms of winning out, but a bowl game is where I would worry for the Bulldogs.
