1. Luke McCaffrey is the guy

If you’re Scott Frost, you have to go with Luke McCaffrey for the rest of the season or at least until he shows signs of not being the guy.

Frost did the unthinkable and played McCaffrey over Adrian Martinez on Saturday and that went against what he had been saying for years. He had dubbed Martinez “my guy” for years and it seemed like he would never make a change despite the offense showing little pulse and the veteran quarterback continuing to struggle.

The move helped as Nebraska looked like a different team with McCaffrey under center. He didn’t put up video game-like numbers or anything, but he was solid. He finished with 152 passing yards and a touchdown while leading the team with 67 rushing yards and another score.

Moving forward, the starting quarterback has to be McCaffrey because he just provides that spark and he doesn’t make a ton of mistakes.

McCaffrey could help Nebraska turn the corner.
