1. Graham Mertz and Wisconsin are legit

Graham Mertz is only a freshman but he sure doesn’t play like one.

Mertz had an outstanding season-opening victory over Illinois where he only had one incomplete pass and five passing touchdowns. After being diagnosed with COVID-19 and having to miss the last few weeks, you knew he would come back down to earth a little bit moving forward in the future.

The freshman quarterback finished the Michigan game completing 12-of-22 passes for 127 yards, and two touchdowns. With him at quarterback, it gives the Badgers offense something they have not had at quarterback maybe going back to the Russell Wilson days. Mertz has only played two games but you can see the difference he provides with moving the ball up and down the field.

With Mertz under center, their sensational running game, and a hungry defense led by coordinator Jim Leonard the Badgers can definitely contend for a Big Ten championship this year. Ohio State is clearly the favorite in the Big Ten so far this year as they should be right now. Just do not count out the Badgers.
