2. Kyle Trask is a Heisman lock

From one quarterback to another, while there won’t be much of a drop-off next year without him, Kyle Trask may very well bring Florida its first Heisman Trophy winner since Tim Tebow.

Actually, at this point I’d be shocked if Trask didn’t win the coveted award.

Right now, Trask looks like a lock to win the Heisman after throwing another six touchdown passes and over 350 yards, completing 23-of-29 passes. He’s been the most efficient quarterback in the nation, completing 70 percent of his passes for 2,171 yards and 28 touchdowns with just three interceptions in six games. You don’t often see quarterbacks averaging nearly five touchdown passes per game, but he’s on a different level right now.

Trask has to be ahead of Trevor Lawrence who missed a couple of games after testing positive for COVID-19 as well as Mac Jones who hasn’t quite been as dominant — he’s been close, though. He is also ahead of Zach Wilson because of that Power Five factor.

The Florida star is as close as there is to a Heisman lock in college football.
