Projected 2020 College Football Playoff Top 25 rankings for Week 13
By Zach Bigalke
Oklahoma made short work of rival Oklahoma State in their annual Bedlam showdown and threw the Big 12 race into utter chaos in the process. By earning a decisive a 41-13 victory, the Sooners not only claimed state supremacy but also took in control of their own fate in the hunt for a top-two spot in the league table. That should put Lincoln Riley’s team somewhere in the mid-teens when the first College Football Playoff rankings come out on Tuesday.
Spencer Rattler had a strong performance in his first Bedlam game, throwing for 301 yards and four touchdowns iand adding 14 rushing yards and a score on the ground. Rhamondre Stevenson had a stellar day both rushing and receiving out of the backfield, with 26 carries for 141 yards and three catches for an additional 54 yards from scrimmage. Oklahoma’s defense held the Cowboys to only 246 total yards of offense in a masterful effort.
In the three-way battle of two-loss teams behind Iowa State in the standings, Oklahoma will hold the tiebreaker over both Oklahoma State and Texas as long as they prevail in Bedlam. As long as they win out against West Virginia and Baylor, the Sooners will get their shot to avenge their regular-season defeat in in Ames and put themselves in the running for a New Year’s Six berth.
