College Football 2020: Surprises, awards by conference from Week 12

Group of Five individual awards and recognitions
Let’s continue to look at the players who made major impacts in leading their team to victory in Week 12 play from the Group of Five.
Mountain West
- Offensive Player of the Week: Air Force running back Brad Roberts had an outstanding game in the win over New Mexico. He ran for 177 yards and three touchdowns, helping the Falcons to their second win of the season.
- Defensive Player of the Week: Air Force linebacker Johnathan Youngblood had eight tackles in the Falcons’ dominant defensive victory over New Mexico. He only had two solos but he also had two tackles for loss as well as two quarterback hurries.
- Special Teams Player of the Week: Boise State returner Avery Williams had an impressive game against Hawaii. He returned two kicks for 120 yards for an average of 60 yard as well as returning three punts for a total of 72 yards. His most impressive return was when he took a Rainbow Warriors kickoff 99 yards for a touchdown.
Sun Belt
- Offensive Player of the Week: Texas State quarterback Brady McBride had an amazing game in their victory conference win over Arkansas State. He threw for 443 yards, five touchdown passes and no interceptions. He also ran for 14 yards on only five carries in helping the Bobcats to their second victory of the season.
- Defensive Player of the Week: Coastal Carolina defensive back D’Jordan Strong had two interceptions for the Chanticleers along with two solo tackles. His biggest impact was when he returned one of his two interceptions 38 yards with a touchdown, allowing Coastal Carolina to remain undefeated.
- Special Teams Player of the Week: Texas State kicker Seth Keller made both of his field goal attempts including a 48-yarder. He also made five extra-points as well as having to kick off nine times in a very active game for him and the kicking unit.
