2. Treylon Burks is elite

If there was ever any doubt about Treylon Burks’ standing as a receiver in the SEC heading into this one, there isn’t anymore. The sophomore wide out had himself an afternoon against Missouri, carrying the offense without Feleipe Franks.

It’s tough for receivers to adjust to new quarterbacks, especially throughout the first eight games of the season. Burks and KJ Jefferson didn’t show any signs of being on different pages as the sophomore wide out had one of his best games of the season, catching 10 passes for 206 yards and a touchdown as the offense didn’t miss a beat.

Coming into the game, Burks had 598 yards and six touchdowns on 39 receptions but now he’s on the verge of 50 receptions for over 800 yards and seven scores.

Going into the 2021 season, Burks is looking like he’ll be the best receiver in the SEC and there’s really no arguing that. This kid is elite.
