West Virginia stays winless on the road

The Mountaineers aren’t a team to take lightly at all. They are 5-3 coming into this game Saturday and not long ago, they drilled a ranked Kansas State team 37-10.

However, that was game was at home and there has been a big difference between West Virginia playing at home this season and on the road. The Mountaineers are winless (0-3) on the road, although losses at Texas Tech and Texas came by single digits.

West Virginia has plenty of weapons especially with QB Jarret Doege and the passing attack as three wide receivers have 300 yards or more in 2020. Doege has also done a good job taking care of the ball too with just three interceptions.

For all those reasons, West Virginia will keep this game close, but Hall, Purdy and Iowa State will just do enough to get the win and creep closer to playing for the first conference championship in a long time.

The talk of Campbell going other places will only increase but on Saturday, Iowa State football gets the win and (barely) covers the spread.
