Projected 2020 College Football Playoff Top 25 rankings for Week 15
By Zach Bigalke
In the only matchup of Power Five teams ranked in the College Football Playoff Top 25 in Week 14, No. 12 Indiana went on the road to Madison and took down No. 16 Wisconsin at Camp Randall Stadium in a defensive battle. The 14-6 victory pushed the Hoosiers to 6-1 in the standings. If Ohio State is unable to play next week against Michigan given the COVID-19 situation in Ann Arbor, Indiana will represent the Big Ten East in the conference title game.
Without Michael Penix Jr. at quarterback, the Hoosiers got a solid performance from Jack Tuttle. The sophomore threw for 130 yards and two touchdowns on 13-of-22 passing and avoided an interception, though he did fumble away the ball on a sack midway through the third quarter. Indiana finished with only 217 yards of offense, yet won despite the Hoosiers defense coughing up 342 yards to the Badgers on the road.
Tom Allen’s team closes out the regular season at home against Purdue in the battle for the Old Oaken Bucket. If they don’t reach the Big Ten title game, a matchup of division runner-ups against Iowa could also help push the Hoosiers into contention for a New Year’s Six berth.
