Projected 2020 College Football Playoff Top 25 rankings for Week 15
By Zach Bigalke
On the road in Tucson in Week 15, Colorado spotted Arizona an advantage that turned into a 13-0 lead early in the second quarter. Then the Buffaloes flipped the switch to keep the Wildcats off the scoreboard the rest of the way, as the visitors from Boulder ran away wtih a 24-13 victory. With the power in the Pac-12 this season amassing in the South, the Buffaloes will join USC as the only conference teams in this week’s Top 25 rankings from the College Football Playoff selection committee.
Sam Noyer had a rough game in victory, throwing for only 92 yards and tossing two interceptions on 12-of-19 passing. Noyer did rush for 67 yards and a touchdown, and Ashaad Clayton punched in two scores on the ground. The biggest effort came from Jarek Broussard, who churned out 301 rushing yards on 25 carries to help Colorado control the clock. The Buffaloes fell one yard short of reaching 500 total yards of offense despite their heavy reliance on Broussard.
Colorado closes out the regular season in Week 15 with a home showdown against Utah. Without the head-to-head game against USC, it will be interesting to see how the selection committee handles the Buffaloes when the next set of rankings comes out on Tuesday evening.
