Huskers hold Minnesota under 20

Nebraska’s defense has played better in recent weeks, especially against the run. The Huskers have forced more turnovers and have also done a much better job of putting pressure on opposing quarterbacks.

But one thing Nebraska hasn’t done is hold a team under 20 points this season and I think that will happen for the first time Saturday. Tanner Morgan only has four touchdowns this season and he will be without Rashod Bateman, who opted out again.

Chris Autman-Bell has been exceptional and averages more than 22 yards a reception but no other receiver on the team has more than five catches or 57 yards receiving.

The Gophers have a very good running game behind Mohamed Ibrahim who has 817 rushing yards and eight touchdowns in five games. But Nebraska held Iowa under four yards an attempt and Purdue to minus two yards, so while Ibrahim will get yards, the Huskers will get a lead and that will mitigate his ability to make an impact.
