Winner: NC State (Up to No. 24)

NC State has had a very nice season under head coach Dave Doeren and the playoff committee showed their appreciation last week and the AP voters did the same this week by moving the Wolfpack into the top 25. NC State finished the regular season 8-3 and that was much better than what most expected them to do before the season started.

Doeren should earn some coach of the year consideration in the ACC and it was nice to see the Wolfpack getting some love on Sunday

Winner: San Jose State (Up to No. 25)

For the first time this season, the San Jose Spartans have entered the AP Top 25 and they are very deserving. The Spartans kept their undefeated season alive with a victory over a tough Nevada squad on Friday and now will have an opportunity to play for a Mountain West title.

One of the feel-good stories of the year gets some much deserved recognition and has a chance for a rare undefeated season out west.
