It was tough to pick between Tunmise Adeleye and Texas A&M’s only five-star signee Shemar Turner who both happen to be strong-side defensive ends. The deciding factor was the fact that Adeleye is going to be enrolled early while Turner will be on campus a few months later for summer practices.

Turner might actually be good enough to play right away no matter if he enrolls early or not as he’s ranked the No. 31 overall prospect in the country, standing 6-foot-3.5 and 282 pounds. He could very well be in this No. 1 spot on the list, but Adeleye may be a safer option.

Though Adeleye may not have the size of Turner at 6-foot-3 and 245 pounds, but he’s the No. 37 prospect in the nation and sixth-best strong-side defensive end, according to the composite. So he’s actually right behind Turner in the national rankings.

Imagine a future defensive end rotation with Adeleye and Turner. Scary thought for opposing SEC offensive lines. That could soon be possible with Micheal Clemons graduating and Tyree Johnson entering his senior year.
