Joe Brady

The 31-year old Brady is still one of the hottest names in terms of offensive minds and even though his first year in Carolina hasn’t been out of this world, that’s not all on him.

Carolina was a rebuild and it doesn’t have an elite quarterback, which makes things really difficult in the NFL. The Panthers are 20th in total offense and 23rd in points scored, as well as 5-10 overall.

Brady should be in no danger of losing his job, but there were whispers that he wanted to be a college head coach. I get that Alabama football isn’t offering that, but as we all know, being Saban’s offensive coordinator is a quick path to a head coaching job.

That plus the money Alabama football could offer Brady might be enough to steal him away from the NFL. Of course, since he was at LSU previously that would make the hire even sweeter.

Seeing coordinators go from the NFL to college is sort of rare, but if Brady is looking at college football again, this could be the perfect opportunity.
