Secondary

Starting Cornerbacks: Josh Jobe and Jalyn Armour-Davis

Backups: Ronald Williams and Marcus Banks

Starting Safeties: Jordan Battle and DeMarco Hellams

Backups: Daniel Wright and Kristian Story

The secondary will need to replace Patrick Surtain II, who should be a top ten selection in the upcoming NFL draft, but this unit returns experience and talent and should be one of the nations best secondaries by the time the season ends.

Josh Jobe might have been the most improved player on Alabama’s defense this past season and should move into the number one corner spot with ease. Jalyn Armour-Davis should get the first crack at the other starting spot, but Ronald Williams should battle for playing time as well.

Jordan Battle will be back to anchor the safeties and he could be in for a huge breakout season. Battle was fine last year, but he could become a superstar in 2021.

DeMarco Hellams and Daniel Wright will be splitting plenty of time at the other safety spot and both are very good players.
