Miami Football: Way too early 2021 game by game predictions
Miami will look to build on their previous win vs Pittsburgh and they will have to take down the Yellow Jackets to do so. Georgia Tech is still building their program up under coach Geoff Collins and I think this could be the year that they show some improvement. Georgia Tech played a lot of true freshman last season and with those guys a year older, they could challenge for bowl game.
Georgia Tech has a growing star in quarterback Jeff Sims and running back Jahmyr Gibbs and they will be an issue for any team that they play this season. While I think the talent is getting better, it is not where it needs to be for Georgia Tech yet and I think that this should be another win for the Hurricanes.
Final Score: Miami 45, Georgia Tech 21 ( 6-3, 3-2 ACC)
One of the biggest rivalries in the country will be played in late November this year and hopefully, there will be more than bragging rights on the line. This rivalry has not been competitive in recent years, with Miami winning 52-10 last year. Florida State head coach Mike Norvell was not able to coach in this game last year due to COVID-19 and his presence was sorely missed.
Florida State will be a different looking team than they have been recently. They are pinning their hopes on UCF transfer quarterback McKenzie Milton to help turn things around and if Milton is back to his pre-injury form, than that could lead the Seminoles to a bowl game. Miami has won four in a row in this series and I think that the Canes will make it five in 2021.
Final Score: Miami 41, Florida State 31 (7-3, 4-2 ACC)
