Pick Analysis. player. Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. 3. 880. Scouting Report. Sept 18. Clemson (SC)

Clemson will open ACC play with a home game against Georgia Tech, who the Tigers put over 70 points on last season in Atlanta. Geoff Collins is still building Georgia Tech, but they have some talented playmakers on offense in quarterback Jeff Sims and running back Jahmyr Gibbs and at the very least, the game should not be as lopsided as last season.

Clemson will be on a mission this season to finish with another ACC championship and a birth in the playoff. Much of their ACC schedule is not going to provide much resistance and I just don’t think that Georgia Tech has enough to stay in this game for very long. Clemson has won every game against the Yellow Jackets since 2014 and that won’t change this year.

Final Score: Clemson 45, Georgia Tech 14 (3-0, 1-0 ACC)

This may come as a surprise to some, but I actually think this could be the toughest game in the ACC for Clemson. NC State had a sneaky good season a year ago and quarterback Devin Leary is returning from injury. Leary was playing very well before suffering a season ending injury and he is the reason that I think the Wolfpack could have another nice season.

NC State is a division rival of Clemson, but they did not play last season due to the pandemic causing the ACC to abandon divisions for a year. Clemson has dominated this series and I think they will add another win to that streak. The Wolfpack offense should be nice, but the defensive has questions that need answering and that is not a good thing to have vs Clemson.

Final Score: Clemson 38, NC State 21 (4-0, 2-0 ACC)
