LSU Football: Way too early predictions for 2021 schedule
This may look like an easy LSU win to start the season, but every Tigers fan that thinks that needs to think again. Chip Kelly had UCLA playing some pretty solid football last season and it looked like the Bruins might be on the verge of finally figuring it all out under Kelly and becoming Pac-12 South contenders. ESPN’s Bill Connelly says that UCLA returns the second most returning production in the country and some of the Bruins young players were showing promise last year.
This will be a rare trip out west for LSU and it will be a good sign at how LSU has improved since last year. This is a game of talent vs experience and I think that talent will win this matchup. I expect the Bruins to contend for the PAC-12 South title this year, but I think LSU will make couple of plays and force some turnovers from Dorian-Thompson Robinson into some turnovers, which will be the key.
Final Score: LSU 34, UCLA 28 (1-0)
LSU will return home to Baton Rouge after a season opening win over UCLA and will get a virtual bye week by playing McNeese. This will be chance for the Tigers to get some of their younger talent in the game and I think the most important thing in games like these is coming out 100% healthy and rested for when SEC play begins. LSU should win very comfortably.
Final Score: LSU 55, McNeese 10 (2-0)
