Coastal Carolina Chanticleers

Even though I think this team has a better shot at making the College Football Playoff than Liberty, they took an L to the Flames to finish off their 2020 season in the Cure Bowl. They did, however, have a top ten win against BYU. That being said, they were not selected for the playoff, taking some hope out of the equation for G5 teams that want to have a similar season.

Looking forward to 2021, the Chanticleers will be looking to have a similar regular season as the year prior. They return their quarterback, Grayson McCall, as well as their head coach, Jamey Chadwell.

They look like they’ll be the best team in their conference, but won’t get the opportunity to prove it as they don’t face Liberty this coming season. Of every team listed, Coastal Carolina is the most likely to go undefeated, but their schedule will not permit a College Football Playoff appearance. The only reason that I believe they should be this high on the list is because an undefeated season would show some longevity for this program, possibly giving them the nod in 2021.
