Games 7-8

Oct. 23 vs Oklahoma State

This will be a revenge game of sorts for Iowa State football as the Cowboys were one of the three teams to knock off the Cyclones last season.

Oklahoma State always knows how to score points, but Iowa State’s defense is going to be really good and with their running game, the Cyclones will control this one. It will be competitive but not that close.

Final score: Iowa State 34, Oklahoma State 21

Oct. 30 at West Virginia

Last season, Iowa State just demoralized West Virginia. The Mountaineers couldn’t get anything going on the ground and the Cyclones won 52-6.

That was at home and playing at West Virginia is a much different thing, especially with fans in attendance. The Mountaineers return quarterback Jarret Doege and running back Leddie Brown.

This has the feeling of a close game, but it’s hard to see Iowa State losing this one and in the end, they find a way by a field goal.

Final score: Iowa State 27, West Virginia 24
