How will Norfolk State fare in 2021?

  • Week 1: Toledo (L) — Could potentially be a close game but Toledo pulls out the win.
  • Week 2: Wake Forest (L) — A great opportunity to get some exposure for the Spartans as this will be their first game against a power five conference opponent since 2015 when they played Rutgers.
  • Week 3: Elizabeth City State (W) — Elizabeth City State are a below average football team in Division II’s CIAA conference. Do not expect them to offer the Spartans much resistance.
  • Week 4: St. Francis (PA) (L) — Another close game that could go either way but St. Francis get the win.
  • Week 5: Hampton (W) — Will be a close game with Norfolk State pulling away late.
  • Week 6: Virginia University of Lynchburg (W) — Virginia University of Lynchburg is not a good football program. Expect Norfolk State to win big.
  • Week 7: Howard (W) — A matchup of arguably the best offense in the MEAC going against arguably the best defense. Norfolk State comes out on top.
  • Week 8: Morgan State (W) — The last time these two teams played, Norfolk State won 48-0. While it may not be a shutout this time around, the Spartans will win big.
  • Week 9: North Carolina Central (L) — If the Spartans lose a conference game this season, it will most likely come against North Carolina Central.
  • Week 10: Delaware State (W) — In their last meeting, Norfolk State had their second-worst offensive output in conference play against Delaware State but were still able to pull out the win thanks to the effort from their defense. Expect this game to play out similarly.
  • Week 11: South Carolina State (W) — While South Carolina State is the only current MEAC team to beat Norfolk State in 2019, they have had a huge roster turnover since then. Still will be a competitive game with the Spartans coming away with the win.

Final record: 7-4, 4-1 MEAC
