How will Buffalo football fare in 2021?

Although another one-loss season is unlikely, the expectation is contending for a MAC championship appearance.

The non-conference won’t be easy with a trip to Lincoln, Nebraska, and a top 15 team on the agenda. The Bulls will travel to face Nebraska on Sept. 11, then follow with a home game against Coastal Carolina.

The MAC slate bods well for the gentlemen in blue and white, with avoiding Toledo in the regular season and getting Ohio at home.

The toughest conference game for the Bulls will come in the season finale, with a road trip to play Ball State on Nov. 23.

The intrigue surrounding the Bulls is how well they will have to adjust to an entirely new system, alongside replacing the transfers lost throughout the entirety of May.

The schedule as a whole is favorable for the Bulls to win nine games. However, with a new system and players stepping up, there very well could be growing pains.

With high hopes, I expect the Bulls to finish with an 8-4 record, with Ohio finishing just ahead, to meet with Toledo in the MAC title game.

Prediction: 8-4, 6-2 MAC
