Fayetteville, Ark.. Georgia Southern Eagles. 3. player. Pick Analysis. Sept. 18. 2411. Scouting Report

The 2020 season wasn’t kind to a lot of teams, but Georgia Souther thrived in the Sun Belt, finishing 8-5 and the Eagles blew the doors off Louisiana Tech in the New Orleans Bowl. However, they didn’t face a single Power Five team and the only ranked-caliber teams they did face were Coastal Carolina and Louisiana — they lost both.

Georgia Southern has to replace its starting quarterback which could make things tough here and the offense already wasn’t that great to begin with.

This game will be close for a half, but that’s it.

Final Score: Georgia Southern 13, Arkansas 38 (2-1)

Bouncing back with a nice non-conference win over a team that was solid last year in the Sun Belt should give Arkansas some confidence against Texas A&M which is the favorite to contend with Alabama in the SEC West, but the Aggies might just have too much firepower.

Isaiah Spiller is going to give the Razorbacks problems in this rivalry game and like most of these games in the series in recent years, this one will still be closer than expected.

Arkansas will have a chance to tie in the final minutes, but a turnover on their final drive will end the comeback hopes.

Final Score: Arkansas 24, Texas A&M 31 (2-2, 0-1 SEC)
