Week 5: Ole Miss at Alabama

This game was extremely competitive a season ago and if Ole Miss would have had any semblance of defense they may have come away with a surprise victory at home.

Now, Ole Miss returns most of that explosive offense and things could get interesting in Tuscaloosa if the Rebel defense can put together a stop or two and Matt Corral has the kind of day that he is capable of having.

Honorable Mention: Auburn at LSU

This matchup is always exciting to me, especially now when we may see former LSU quarterback TJ Finley take the field against his previous team. Death Valley is never an easy place to play, but I feel that Auburn is the better team in this matchup.

Week 6: Alabama at Texas A&M

Could this game decide the SEC West? There is a lot of hype surrounding the Aggies this year as they return a bunch of productive weapons and a few monster defensive players. However, if Alabama has anything to say about it — and it will — this won’t be an easy matchup.

Will it help that this one is being played at Kyle Field? I don’t know, but I can promise that the 12th Man will show up in a big way for this one.

Honorable Mention: Georgia at Auburn

This matchup could be big for Georiga.

The Bulldogs, in my opinion, will start the season 0-1 with a loss to Clemson. They have to go to Auburn and they have to come out with a win.

It may not be circled on a Georgia fan’s calendar, but I think it should be. Auburn can be a sneaky team and a second loss is not what the Bulldogs need right now.
