Heisman and bowls picks

I said earlier Jayden Daniels is a Heisman contender and I think he’ll be one of the three in New York in early December. D’Eriq King is the second finalist. It’s hard to see Miami being as good as I think they will be without King as a superstar.

The third finalist is my pick: Oklahoma quarterback Spencer Rattler. I know it’s another popular pick, but I think Rattler puts up the biggest numbers in leading the Sooners to an undefeated season.

Some notable bowls I have include Oklahoma State versus USC in the Alamo Bowl, a clash of conference champions with UTSA facing Ball State in the Bahamas Bowl, what would be an incredible Boca Raton Bowl with Coastal Carolina taking on Liberty, Penn State versus LSU in the Citrus Bowl, San Jose State against Utah in the Las Vegas Bowl, and 10-2 Notre Dame taking on Ole Miss in the Gator Bowl.

As for New Year’s Six bowls, I have to take Cincinnati as the Group of Five representative. I have the Bearcats taking on Miami in the Fiesta Bowl. I have Alabama facing North Carolina in the Peach Bowl, an old-school Big 12 showdown between Texas A&M and Iowa State in the Sugar Bowl, and Arizona State appearing in its first Rose Bowl since 1996 against Wisconsin.

And finally, the College Football Playoff. You already know my pick: Bishop Sycamore.

OK, really, I have No. 1 Georgia defeating No. 4 Ohio State and No. 2 Oklahoma beating No. 3 Clemson.

At the end of the season, I believe the last image of the 2021 college football season will be of Oklahoma claiming its first national championship since 2000.
