SEC Football Power Rankings: Alabama, Georgia open 2021 on top
By Shelbie Warr
Georgia has JT Daniels and he is experienced and ready to play meaningful snaps again. However, they open the season against Clemson and that could kill their hopes before they even begin if they start the season with a loss.
There will be no room for error the rest of the season if they cannot find a way to beat a new quarterback at Clemson. We will see if they are able to climb that mountain and move on to bigger and better things this season — maybe even finally winning the big game.
Alabama is the king of the SEC and until someone comes and knocks them off that pedestal, that won’t change. Could it be Texas A&M this year? Maybe Georgia, Florida, or Auburn? I don’t know that any of them will be able to do it, but if there is a season to do it, this is the one as Alabama only returns 33 percent of its offensive production from a season ago.
Could this be the year we finally see a new SEC Champion? A new College Football Champion? We will have to wait and see.
