13. Duke Blue Devils

Key returning players: Jack Wohlabaugh, Jake Bobo, Mataeo Durant, Shaka Heyward, Dewayne Carter

Key losses:  Chris Rumph II, Victor Dimukeje, Michael Carter, Noah Gray

Season Outlook: The Blue Devils are in the incredibly competitive, very evenly matched ACC Coastal Division. Duke’s success is tied to two things; turnovers and health. Jack Wohlabaugh returns healthy to solidify the offensive line. Running back, Mataeo Durant has been dinged most of his career but looks to be healthy this season.

Last season the Blue Devils led the nation in turnovers (39), and the second-worst team, Mississippi State, had 14 fewer turnovers. Chase Brice had nearly half of the turnovers with just his interceptions (15). Gunnar Holmberg takes the helm at quarterback this season.

Defensively, the Blue Devils have to replace 15.5 lost with Chris Rumph II and Victor Dimukeje, respectively. Jeremiah Lewis and Leonard Johnson are a solid tandem at the corner, but they need to find a pass rush this season.

This season will determine whether or not last season was a down year amid the pandemic or if head coach David Cutcliffe is losing his touch as a head coach and quarterback guru.
