Team of the week: South Carolina State

Although South Carolina State lost against Alabama A&M, it put together an incredible performance that would have defeated lesser teams.

They recorded 455 yards of total offense well over their 2019 season average of 368.2, they hung 41 points on the defending SWAC champions which was their highest point total since November 9, 2019, and they had 242 rushing yards well over their 2019 average of 142.5.

South Carolina State was picked by the MEAC to finish at the top of the conference in the preseason predicted order of finish and it showed exactly why that was the case in this game.
