We all knew that Bryce Young was going to be good, but did we expect him to be that good that early?

If not, maybe we should have. This is Alabama after all and Young came to the Crimson Tide with plenty of hype. Heck, he even signed an NIL deal worth more than a million dollars this summer.

That money is looking well spent at this point because Young is a superstar. He arrived after a jaw-dropping performance against Miami that featured four touchdown passes and 344 yards.

The play that really turned heads was a 94-yard touchdown pass in the third quarter to Jameson Williams. Miami had just scored and pinned Bama deep. The Hurricanes had a little momentum and then bang, Young made a spectacular throw and it was game over again.

Alabama, along with Georgia, look like the two best teams in college football. Ohio State and Oklahoma are right there too, which is why it’s not a coincidence that each of those teams has a quarterback squarely in the mix for the Heisman in 2021.
