Ohio State defends the run better in week two

In week one the Gophers gashed the Ohio State defense for 203 yards on the ground. The Ducks have some talented backs in Travis Dye and CJ Verdell, but the defense will do a much better job of putting an emphasis on plugging up the running game.

After getting run on last week the defense will be out to prove that teams will not be able to just run on them all year long. It just did not look like the regular Ohio State defenses you saw in years past overall. Expect the pressure and defensive schemes from the Buckeyes to be more disruptive and active in the Oregon backfield.

Ohio State will help contain Oregon’s rushing attack on the ground to under 120 yards as a team. With the duo that Oregon has in their backfield, plus Brown’s capability of beating you on the ground with his legs consider that a huge win.
