1. USC’s defense will erase Stanford’s offense

I know that it was San Jose State, but what USC’s defense did last week in that game was truly impressive. San Jose State had a dangerous passing attack and the Trojans took it away and forced Spartans quarterback Nick Starkel into making several mistakes.

I think that USC is facing a far less formidable offense this week in Stanford and that the Trojans could dominate this game on that side of the ball.

USC has really underrated group of pass rushers and that starts with potential first-round pick Drake Jackson who had a solid game against San Jose State last week and I think he will play a big part in USC’s defense having control of this game.

Stanford struggled to move the ball versus Kansas State last week and I think it will be even harder vs the athletes that USC will have to throw their way this Saturday.

USC is favored to win this game by a good margin Saturday and I think they will do exactly that and their defense will be the biggest reason why.
