2. Defense has taken big strides

What a change it’s been from the Chad Morris era of defense to Sam Pittman. The Razorbacks have done a complete 180 from a couple of years ago until now as they have improved drastically from where they were at even last year.

Arkansas made life miserable all night long for Hudson Card and Casey Thompson as the Longhorns couldn’t seem to get any type of rhythm going.

The Longhorns were just 13-of-23 through the air with 118 yards, averaging 5.1 yards per attempt and that’s a huge win for the Razorbacks because it shows the secondary can be a problem even for the most talented receiving corps.

The Razorbacks also held Bijan Robinson and that run game to just 124 yards and three touchdowns on just 3.0 yards per touch. Robinson struggled against this front, averaging just 3.6 per carry.

Folks, this defense is so back. And Texas? Not so much.
