1. Arkansas is going to be a problem in the SEC this year

Arkansas just out-gained Texas 471-242 in the second game of the season in a huge non-conference win. Who thought that they would be reading those words when the season began? Heck, who thought those words were even possible before the 2020 season?

Absolutely no one saw Sam Pittman turning the program around this quickly.

There’s a good chance we could see the Razorbacks ranked to start Week 3 and honestly, it would be well-deserved. They controlled the game against Rice in Week 1 after falling behind 17-7, winning by 21. They then led the entire way against No. 15 Texas and looked like the far superior team in almost every facet, including coaching.

This team is going to cause some serious problems in the SEC West this season. And while they probably won’t be able to take down the likes of Alabama or Texas A&M (although the Aggies look beatable without Haynes King), they will make some moves and create some momentum before the 2022 season.

Arkansas will likely be 3-0 and ranked heading into a Week 4 rivalry game against a potentially King-less Texas A&M team on a neutral field. If they win that, they could build momentum against Georgia, Ole Miss, and Auburn in the following weeks and a 2-1 record in those games is very possible.

We’re going to see what this team is really made of soon.
