Notre Dame Football: 3 bold predictions vs. Toledo in Week 2
2. Kyren Williams rushes for over 150 yards
Kyren Williams rushed for 1,000 yards last season and it felt like he was on the verge of becoming one of the top running backs and Heisman candidates in the country in 2021. Well, the opener against Florida State was forgettable.
Williams had just 42 yards on 18 carries in the opener but he did catch some passes out of the backfield, finishing with 83 yards and a touchdown on six catches. He still had over 100 total yards so the game wasn’t a total disappointment, but he didn’t run the ball effectively.
That’s going to change on Saturday afternoon against Toledo.
The Rockets gave up 147 yards rushing in their season opener against Norfolk State and I think Williams is going to top that number by himself.
The sophomore is going to bounce back to rush for over 150 yards and really silence those fans who were worried about his showing against Florida State.
