2. No. 15 Virginia Tech Hokies (2-0)

The Hokies have been a surprise, especially with how well they played North Carolina defensively. Sam Howell was under duress most of that game and could never get comfortable. The Hokies then made short work of Middle Tennessee State.

Their game this weekend against West Virginia is their second test of this early season. Much like the North Carolina game, expect this one to be low scoring as both defenses are solid, and neither offense has found its footing yet.

1. No. 6 Clemson Tigers (1-1)

After an opening game loss to the Georiga Bulldogs, the Clemson Tigers played their money game, blowing out South Carolina State. This week, Clemson begins conference play against Georgia Tech, who might be without quarterback Jeff Sims.

The Yellow Jackets did not have much of a chance with Sims, either. The question about Clemson is whether or not a team in the ACC can do to the Tigers what Georgia did. The short answer is no. However, if coach Swiney and the Tigers want to hoist another natty, the offensive line must play better.
