4. Ole Miss (-14) vs. Tulane

I’m riding the Ole Miss bandwagon this season and Matt Corral is to thank for that.

The talented quarterback has to be considered one of the top Heisman candidates right now and he’s been near-perfect to start the year. He has 662 yards and six touchdowns with a 66 percent completion rate, 10.2 yards per attempt, and he’s on pace to finish with a career-best passer rating. He looks like an All-American through two weeks.

Tulane has seen an elite quarterback already and nearly pulled off the upset against him in Week 1, so I get the hesitation of picking Ole Miss big here. But Spencer Rattler wasn’t the reason the Sooners nearly blew a big second-half lead against Tulane, it was the defense.

Ole Miss’ defense has improved this year thus far and if the Rebels can prove they have a pulse on that side of the ball, the sky is the limit.

Tulane has put up some decent numbers offensively through two games, but the Green Wave are not going to keep up with Ole Miss in a shootout. Ole Miss pulls away late.
