Nebraska is incapable of a complete game

You can’t expect to beat elite teams or compete for championships if you can’t be solid in all three phases of the game and the Huskers just haven’t done it under Frost.

That’s a huge indictment since he’s now in his fourth year as head coach. But Nebraska just constantly shoots itself in the foot. There were the penalties on the opening drive, the missed field goals, not to mention the blocked PAT returned for two points.

Honestly, you can’t make this stuff up.

Frost has to be pleased with the defense. It surrendered just 21 points and barely more than 400 yards to Heisman candidate Spencer Rattler and one of the best offenses in the country.

Sitting at 2-2, Nebraska football is definitely good enough to reach a bowl game and beat some quality teams in the Big Ten. Will it though?

That’s the question. Frost has lost three one-possession games against Iowa. There was a close call against Ohio State and this loss to Oklahoma.

It was great that the Huskers didn’t look overmatched, but they played well enough to win, except they couldn’t get out of their own way — again.
