2. Wisconsin football will have the last laugh against Jack Coan

There’s another storyline to watch in this matchup between Wisconsin and Notre Dame that is dripping with intrigue— Notre Dame starting QB Jack Coan was a Wisconsin Badger for four years.

“It’s definitely going to be weird,” Notre Dame QB Jack Coan said in comments captured by ESPN.

Coan, a senior, transferred as a graduate to Notre Dame and has made an immediate impact. He’s thrown 8 touchdowns and only 2 interceptions.

The Badgers, however, will have the upper hand in this matchup. Coan has had mixed success as a passer this season with Notre Dame, completing just 66% of his pass attempts. Wisconsin football’s defense has recorded four sacks this season and has only allowed 23 points through two games.

The Badgers have three-plus years of tape on Coan, practiced against him every week, and know all of his tendencies. Expect Coan to struggle against his former team in this thrilling Week 4 game.
