1 . Wisconsin football will beat Notre Dame at Soldier Field in Week 4

Wisconsin, in typical Big Ten fashion, loves to run the ball. The Badgers run the ball for 266 yards per game and pass for only 175 yards per game.

The Irish have recorded five interceptions this season, so expect the Badgers to play to their strength and run the ball relentlessly.

In order to have an effective run game against Notre Dame, sophomore QB Graham Mertz must protect the football. He needs a near-perfect game of throwing zero interceptions. He needs to play like he did in Week 2 against Eastern Michigan when he was 14 of 17 for 141 yards. He was only sacked once in that game.

Wisconsin running backs Chez Mellusi, Issac Guerendo, and Jalen Berger will all likely see snaps on Saturday. Mellusi will likely see most of the carries and for good reason, he’s totaled 265 yards on 51 carries through two games.

Expect the Badger’s run game to lull Notre Dame’s defense just enough for Mertz to toss a touchdown to get out ahead. Wisconsin wins this exciting matchup in Week 4.
