3. DJ Uiagalelei might not be the answer at QB

This seems like a shocking statement to make, but Uiagalelei just might not be as good of a quarterback as was thought. Clemson seems to spit out superstar talents at quarterback like Deshaun Watson and Trevor Lawrence and it seemed like it was going to be an easy transition to the former five-star QB out of California. Thus far in 2021, Uiagalelei has been the most disappointing player in the country.

It seems for a quarterback of his size would want to run the football more, but he seems reluctant to do so up to this point. One of the many reasons that Watson and Lawrence excelled in this system was that they were a threat to run the football. Uiagalelei has not been a threat enough of the time and that hurts the Clemson offense.

It looks like there is a lot wrong from a coaching and mechanical perspective with DJ and I don’t know if it can be fixed. Clemson has to hope Uiagalelei can figure this thing out quickly or this season could take a turn for the worse for the Tigers.
